Hello, and welcome to my website.
I am a second-year PhD student in Daniel Lowd's Machine Learning Group at the University of Oregon, where I research artificial intelligence. My research is focused on neuro-symbolic AI and graph machine learning, but I am broadly interested in any methods that offer a pathway to improved reasoning in intelligent systems. I feel inspired by work that explores the inner frontiers of consciousness and seeks to represent the mechanisms of cognition.
I spend most of my time out in nature when I am not working. I like mountaineering, biking and backpacking around the wilderness surrounding Eugene.
